Likes, dislikes and what you fancy for lunch.
Why these go together
Say what you like and what you would like to eat or drink, and ask someone else. The same two verbs, 喜欢 and 想, do most of the work.
我喜欢喝茶。
I like drinking tea.
你想喝什么?
What would you like to drink?
我想吃米饭。
I'd like some rice.
你喜欢吃什么菜?
What food do you like?
我喜欢吃中国菜。
I like Chinese food.
我爱吃水果。
I love fruit.
请喝茶。
Please have some tea.
