Work with Kilo Lingo

Where we can be useful to language schools, tutoring platforms, publishers and edtech tools - and where we cannot.

Who reads Kilo Lingo

English-speaking adults learning Spanish, French or Mandarin. The editorial tilt favours readers who are past the gamified-streak phase and want structural answers about how long acquisition takes, which words actually do the work, and how to spend their study hours.

  • Skew is adult professional learners and travel-preppers, not children or classroom students.
  • Distribution is search and Pinterest; the audience finds the site when they are actively working on the language.
  • UK / EU / North America make up the bulk of the audience; the Mandarin cluster also pulls Southeast Asia and Australia.

What we say yes to

  • Affiliate integrations for tutoring marketplaces (italki, Preply), course providers (Pimsleur, Lingoda, Babbel, Mondly) and travel verticals (Booking.com, GetYourGuide, World Nomads) where the placement is editorially honest. We disclose every affiliate link.
  • Sponsored mentions in long-form articles where the product fits the article's thesis. We do not change the article's conclusion to fit the sponsor.
  • Reviewer access for language-learning apps, textbooks and graded readers. Reviews are written under our voice and we keep editorial control.
  • Cross-promotion with newsletters and YouTube channels in the adult-learner adjacent space.
  • Custom DLC packs (printable cheatsheets, worksheets and Pinterest infographics) co-branded for language schools or tutoring platforms.

What we say no to

  • Paid link insertions that try to pass as editorial. We will not insert "for context, see [link]" in an article on someone else's terms.
  • Guest posts written by AI or by a content mill. The site's voice is the product; opening it to third-party drafts collapses the only edge we have.
  • Sponsored content for grey-area products (essay mills, "fluent in 3 months" courses, MLM language schemes). The audience is sharp and would clock the placement immediately.
  • Anything that conflicts with our disclaimer or terms .

How to reach us

Email hello@kilolingo.com with the subject line "Partnership" and a short pitch. Useful to include:

  • What you do and which Kilo Lingo audience you're after.
  • The shape of the partnership you have in mind.
  • Numbers if it helps - rates, scale, expected traffic.

We reply to every pitch that is on-topic, usually within a week. If we are not the right fit we will say so directly rather than letting the email sit.

For affiliates

If you operate an affiliate program in the language-learning, tutoring or travel-prep space and we are not already in it, send the details to hello@kilolingo.com with the subject "Affiliate". Per-action rates, cookie windows and approval lead times all useful to know upfront.
