Foundation or Higher?

Foundation leads to grades 1 to 5 and Higher to grades 4 to 9, and a candidate sits every paper at the same tier. The course teaches Foundation first, because Higher candidates are assessed on all of it too, then the words Higher adds.

How many words do I need for GCSE French?

The AQA defined vocabulary list has 1,207 Foundation entries, and Higher adds 545. The papers cannot use a word outside it without explaining it, so the list is the whole job.
