Questions

What tenses do I need for GCSE German?

At Foundation: present tense, perfect tense, simple past, future tense. Higher adds: imperative, conditional (konjunktiv ii). This follows the tier the AQA specification gives each structure.

How many tenses should I use in the speaking and writing exams?

Use at least three time frames - past, present and future - in any extended answer. Examiners reward range, and referring to more than one time frame is one of the things the mark schemes look for.
