Questions

How do I answer GCSE Italian speaking questions well?

Give more than the question asks for. A strong answer has an opinion, a reason for it, a second time frame (what you did last week, or will do next year) and one concrete detail. Every model answer on this page is built that way, so read a few aloud and copy the shape rather than the words.

Should I learn model answers off by heart?

Learn the building blocks, not whole answers. Examiners ask follow-up questions, and a memorised paragraph falls apart the moment the question changes. Practise saying your own version of each model answer, then change one detail each time.

What does the ! mean on a role-play?

It marks a prompt you have not been warned about: you hear it and answer on the spot. The best preparation is being able to say where, when, how much and why in the present, past and future, because those are what an unprepared question usually asks.
