Making your case

A claim, a reason, some evidence. In that order, ideally.

Why these go together

The sentences that carry an argument: stating a position, backing it with a reason and drawing the conclusion. Use them in any essay or debate where you have to take a side.

  • Estoy convencido de que la educaci贸n es la clave del progreso.

    I'm convinced that education is the key to progress.

  • Me parece l贸gico que el gobierno gaste m谩s en la salud p煤blica.

    It seems logical to me that the government should spend more on public health.

  • Hay razones de peso para defender esta postura.

    There are strong reasons to defend this position.

  • Los datos prueban que el problema es cada vez m谩s grave.

    The data show that the problem is getting more and more serious.

  • Por lo tanto, hace falta actuar cuanto antes.

    Therefore we need to act as soon as possible.
