"Water" in Spanish, French, and Mandarin
One of the highest-frequency nouns across languages. Grammatical gender differs: "agua" is feminine in Spanish (with masculine article in singular), "eau" is feminine in French, and "shui" carries no grammatical gender in Mandarin.
