buzz/bʌz/The low humming sound that something makes when it shakes very fast, like a bee flying or a phone on a table.
newspaper/ˈnjuːzpeɪpə/Large folded sheets of paper, printed every day or every week, with reports about what is happening.
tall/tɔːl/Higher than most other people or things from bottom to top.
confirm/kənˈfɜːm/To say clearly that something is true, or that a plan is now certain.
miracle/ˈmɪrəkl/Something wonderful that happens when it seemed impossible, so nobody can explain how.
journey/ˈdʒɜːni/A trip from one place to another, often a long one.
stomach/ˈstʌmək/The part inside your body where food goes after you eat it. People also use the word for the front of the body below the chest.
thought/θɔːt/Something that you think, or the act of thinking itself.
nail/neɪl/A thin piece of metal with a flat top and a sharp point, hit into wood to hold things together. The same word means the hard part at the end of a finger or a toe.
funeral/ˈfjuːnərəl/The meeting held after someone dies, where family and friends say goodbye before the body is buried or burned.
