equipment/ɪˈkwɪpmənt/The tools and machines you need for a job or a sport. The word is uncountable, so it has no plural.
compare/kəmˈpeə/To look at two or more things to see how they are the same and how they are different.
route/ruːt/The way you go from one place to another, and the roads you take on the way.
nasty/ˈnɑːsti/Very unpleasant, or unkind to other people. It can also mean bad enough to worry about.
surround/səˈraʊnd/To be all around something or someone, on every side.
rude/ruːd/Not kind or polite; speaking or acting in a way that upsets other people.
amen/ɑːˈmen/A word said at the end of a prayer. It means "let it be so".
