My day and my health

Getting up, going to bed, and the doctor's in between.

Why these go together

Reflexive verbs carry most of the daily routine: просыпаться, умываться, одеваться. Add a few health phrases and you can describe a whole day.

  • Я просыпаюсь в семь часов.

    I wake up at seven.

  • Потом я умываюсь и одеваюсь.

    Then I have a wash and get dressed.

  • Я ложусь спать в десять часов вечера.

    I go to bed at ten in the evening.

  • Я никогда не пью кофе вечером.

    I never drink coffee in the evening.

  • Я часто болею зимой.

    I'm often ill in winter.

  • Мне надо идти к врачу.

    I need to go to the doctor.

  • Я не курю, потому что это вредно.

    I don't smoke because it's bad for you.

  • Чтобы быть в форме, я занимаюсь спортом.

    To stay fit, I do sport.

  • Я ем много фруктов и овощей.

    I eat lots of fruit and veg.

  • Я пью много воды.

    I drink lots of water.
