My school day

Lessons, breaks, rules and the canteen on the ground floor.

Why these go together

A school day has a timetable, rules and places, and these sentences cover all three. Note that the Russian first floor is the British ground floor.

У нас шесть уроков в день.
We have six lessons a day.
Первый урок начинается в девять часов.
The first lesson starts at nine.
Перерыв на обед длится час.
The lunch break lasts an hour.
Я изучаю русский язык уже три года.
I've been learning Russian for three years.
В нашей школе надо носить форму.
At our school you have to wear a uniform.
В школе нельзя пользоваться мобильником.
You're not allowed to use your mobile at school.
Столовая на первом этаже.
The canteen is on the ground floor.
Наша классная комната большая и светлая.
Our classroom is big and bright.
После уроков я иду в клуб.
After lessons I go to a club.
Мне нравится физика, но я не люблю химию.
I like physics, but I don't like chemistry.
