Word origin
A transparent Esperanto compound: hejmo ('home') plus tasko ('task'), a home task. Hejmo comes from Germanic home and Heim; tasko arrived through Italian and English task. Unlike English homework, it is countable, so you can finish unu hejmtaskon.
