Examples
.
My daughter started secondary school in September.
.
At secondary school he learned two foreign languages.
.
The secondary school stands between the park and the river.
Three pieces, in order. Mezo at rank 409 is the middle and meza its adjective. Lerni is to learn, and -- makes the place, so lernejo is a school. Put the adjective root on the front and you have the middle school, the one between the first school and the university.
The whole ladder. Elementa or baza is the primary school; is the secondary school, roughly ages eleven to eighteen; universitato follows. A pupil at one is a o, using -an- for a member. also circulates, borrowed from the German and central European school system, and it means an academically selective rather than a sports hall.
Beware the English trap: American middle school is not this word. covers the whole of secondary education, high school included.
