terrible; dreadful
Examples
.
It was a terrible night.
timon.
She felt a terrible fear.
terure.
The matter ended terribly.
.
He told something terrible.
.
Nothing terrible happened.
From terur- come teruro (terror), terure (terribly), i (to terrify, with --) and i (to become terrified, with --). The adjective agrees, so timon carries the -n twice, and puts it on the pronoun as well. Learners lean on as a general hedge, but is usually the more honest word.
