Opinions with a reason, the habit that makes any answer better.

Why these go together

An opinion on its own is a dead end. Add weil or denn and a reason and it becomes a real sentence.

  • Ich mag Sport, weil er Spaß macht.

    I like sport because it's fun.

  • Ich finde Geschichte interessant, denn sie ist nie langweilig.

    I find history interesting because it's never boring.

  • Meiner Meinung nach ist das Essen in der Kantine schlecht.

    In my opinion the food in the canteen is bad.

  • Ich liebe Musik, weil sie entspannend ist.

    I love music because it's relaxing.

  • Ich hasse Hausaufgaben, weil sie langweilig sind.

    I hate homework because it's boring.

  • Ich denke, dass Fußball toll ist.

    I think football is great.

  • Ich glaube, dass Mathematik schwierig, aber wichtig ist.

    I believe maths is difficult but important.

  • Der Film gefällt mir nicht, weil er zu lang ist.

    I don't like the film because it's too long.

  • Es ist mir egal, ob wir Fisch oder Fleisch essen.

    I don't mind whether we eat fish or meat.

  • Ich habe Lust auf ein Eis, weil es heiß ist.

    I fancy an ice cream because it's hot.
