Today is a special day. Mum is one year older today. Dad and I have a secret, and we are not telling Mum. This is a good secret.

In the morning, Mum went out. Dad and I started getting ready. We prepared lots of things to eat, and flowers and a present too. Dad said: Mum will surely be very happy.

Mum was about to come back. Dad said: Don't say a word! We stood behind the door. Nobody spoke, and together we waited for Mum to come home.

Mum opened the door. All of us shouted together: Mum! Mum saw us, and had not expected us all to be here. She saw the flowers and the present, and she was very happy and delighted.

We gave Mum the present. Mum smiled. She said: Thank you all! Today is my best day. We ate together, and laughed together too. Today everyone is very happy.
