新的医生

今jīn天tiān早zǎo上shàng，我wǒ去qù医yī院yuàn看kàn一yí个gè新xīn的de医yī生shēng。我wǒ的de老lǎo医yī生shēng已yǐ经jīng走zǒu了liǎo，去qù了liǎo别bié的de地dì方fāng。我wǒ朋péng友yǒu说shuō，这zhè个ge新xīn的de医yī生shēng也yě很hěn好hǎo。我wǒ有yǒu一yì点diǎn担dān心xīn，因yīn为wèi这zhè是shì第dì一yī次cì见jiàn她tā。

This morning, I went to the hospital to see a new doctor. My old doctor has gone, off to another place. My friend says this new doctor is good too. I felt a little worried, because this was the first time I had met her.

我wǒ的de问wèn题tí不bù大dà。我wǒ的de头tóu一yì直zhí有yǒu一yì点diǎn不bù好hǎo。不bú是shì很hěn多duō，可kě是shì已yǐ经jīng很hěn长cháng时shí间jiān了liǎo。我wǒ自zì己jǐ想xiǎng，可kě能néng没méi什shén么me，可kě是shì我wǒ朋péng友yǒu说shuō：你nǐ应yīng该gāi去qù问wèn医yī生shēng。所suǒ以yǐ我wǒ来lái了liǎo。

My problem is not a big one. My head has been a little off for a while. Not a lot, but it has been a long time now. I told myself it was probably nothing, but my friend said: you should go and ask a doctor. So here I am.

我wǒ到dào了liǎo医yī院yuàn。一yí个gè女nǚ士shì问wèn我wǒ的de名míng字zì。我wǒ告gào诉sù她tā。她tā说shuō：请qǐng坐zuò下xià，等děng一yí下xià。我wǒ坐zuò下xià，看kàn别bié的de人rén。这zhè里lǐ的de人rén都dōu在zài等děng。有yǒu一yí个gè老lǎo先xiān生shēng，他tā也yě在zài等děng。他tā对duì我wǒ笑xiào笑xiào。我wǒ也yě笑xiào。

I got to the hospital. A woman asked me my name. I told her. She said: please sit down, wait a moment. I sat down and looked at the other people. Everyone here was waiting. There was an old gentleman, also waiting. He smiled at me. I smiled too.

时shí间jiān过guò得dé很hěn慢màn。我wǒ想xiǎng：这zhè个ge新xīn的de医yī生shēng是shì什shén么me样yàng子zi？她tā会huì不bú会huì很hěn忙máng？她tā有yǒu没méi有yǒu时shí间jiān听tīng我wǒ说shuō？我wǒ又yòu有yǒu一yì点diǎn担dān心xīn。

The time went by slowly. I thought: what is this new doctor like? Will she be too busy? Will she have time to listen to me? I felt a little worried again.

然rán后hòu那nà个ge女nǚ士shì叫jiào我wǒ的de名míng字zì。她tā说shuō：医yī生shēng在zài那nà个ge房fáng间jiān，你nǐ可kě以yǐ进jìn去qù。我wǒ走zǒu过guò去qù。我wǒ打dǎ开kāi门mén。

Then the woman called my name. She said: the doctor is in that room, you can go in. I walked over. I opened the door.

医yī生shēng是shì一yí个gè年nián轻qīng的de女nǚ人rén。她tā对duì我wǒ笑xiào。她tā说shuō：你nǐ好hǎo，请qǐng坐zuò。我wǒ坐zuò下xià。她tā问wèn我wǒ：今jīn天tiān有yǒu什shén么me问wèn题tí？

The doctor was a young woman. She smiled at me. She said: hello, please sit. I sat down. She asked me: what is the problem today?

我wǒ告gào诉sù她tā我wǒ的de头tóu的de事shì。我wǒ说shuō：不bú是shì很hěn多duō，可kě是shì一yì直zhí都dōu有yǒu一yì点diǎn。已yǐ经jīng很hěn长cháng时shí间jiān了liǎo。她tā听tīng我wǒ说shuō，没méi有yǒu笑xiào，可kě是shì也yě没méi有yǒu不bù好hǎo的de样yàng子zi。她tā写xiě了liǎo一yì些xiē东dōng西xī。

I told her about my head. I said: it is not a lot, but it is always a little there. It has been a long time now. She listened to me, did not laugh, but did not look unhappy either. She wrote a few things down.

然rán后hòu她tā问wèn我wǒ很hěn多duō别bié的de问wèn题tí。我wǒ的de身shēn体tǐ怎zěn么me样yàng？我wǒ吃chī什shén么me？我wǒ每měi天tiān的de工gōng作zuò是shì什shén么me？我wǒ都dōu告gào诉sù她tā。她tā一yì直zhí在zài听tīng，一yì直zhí在zài写xiě。

Then she asked me lots of other questions. How is my body? What do I eat? What is my work each day? I told her everything. She kept listening, kept writing.

最zuì后hòu她tā说shuō：我wǒ想xiǎng，这zhè个ge问wèn题tí不bù大dà。可kě能néng是shì因yīn为wèi你nǐ工gōng作zuò太tài多duō，时shí间jiān太tài长cháng。你nǐ需xū要yào休xiū息xi。如rú果guǒ一yí个gè月yuè以yǐ后hòu还hái是shì一yí样yàng，我wǒ们men再zài看kàn。

In the end she said: I think this problem is not a big one. It is probably because you work too much and for too long. You need to rest. If in a month it is still the same, we will look again.

我wǒ觉jué得de这zhè个ge解jiě释shì很hěn简jiǎn单dān，可kě是shì也yě很hěn好hǎo。她tā说shuō话huà的de时shí候hòu，我wǒ知zhī道dào她tā真zhēn的de在zài听tīng。

I felt the explanation was simple, but a good one. While she spoke, I could tell she was really listening.

我wǒ说shuō：谢xiè谢xiè医yī生shēng。她tā笑xiào笑xiào，说shuō：没méi什shén么me。回huí家jiā好hǎo好hǎo休xiū息xi。

I said: thank you, doctor. She smiled and said: it is nothing. Go home and rest well.

我wǒ走zǒu出chū医yī院yuàn。外wài面miàn有yǒu太tài阳yáng。我wǒ想xiǎng：还hái好hǎo我wǒ来lái了liǎo。新xīn的de医yī生shēng也yě是shì好hǎo医yī生shēng。

I walked out of the hospital. The sun was out. I thought: it is just as well I came. The new doctor is a good doctor too.
