富 (fù) is rich or wealthy. Like every Chinese adjective it needs a degree word to work as a predicate: 他很富 (tā hěn fù), not a bare 他富, unless you are deliberately making a contrast.

It pairs constantly with its opposite, 穷 (qióng, poor): 富人 (fùrén, a rich person) against 穷人 (qióngrén, a poor person). It also feeds a cluster of compounds around abundance: 丰富 (fēngfù, rich, abundant, used of content or resources rather than money) and 富有 (fùyǒu), a more formal way to say wealthy.

Note the tone stays fourth throughout its compounds, so 富人 (fùrén), 富有 (fùyǒu) and 丰富 (fēngfù) all keep the falling tone on 富 (fù) itself.
