更好 (gèng hǎo) means better or even better. 更 (gèng) is a comparative adverb meaning even more or still more (comparative degree marker), and 好 (hǎo) means good. Together they form the comparative degree of 好. Mandarin does not inflect adjectives; instead comparative degree is expressed using 更 or 比...更 (比你更好, better than you). The superlative is formed with 最 (zuì): 最好 (best).
