果汁 (guǒzhī) is "fruit juice", from 果 (guǒ), short for 水果 (shuǐguǒ), "fruit", and 汁 (zhī), "juice, sap". A specific juice just adds the fruit name in front: 橙汁 (chéngzhī), "orange juice", 苹果汁 (píngguǒzhī), "apple juice".

It contrasts neatly with 汽水 (qìshuǐ), "fizzy drink": 果汁 (guǒzhī) is understood as the healthier, more natural option, and Chinese menus often group the two separately, juices under one heading and carbonated drinks under another.

Tone-wise, 汁 (zhī) is first tone, flat and level, easy to confuse with the very similar-sounding 知 (zhī), "to know", though the characters and contexts keep the two well apart in practice.
