面包 (miàn bāo) is bread, and it covers the whole Western category: loaves, rolls, baguettes, toast. It is counted with 个 for individual rolls, 片 for slices and 条 for a loaf, so 一片面包 is a slice and 一个面包 is a roll.
Watch the traditional form. In simplified script one character 面 does duty for both flour and face, but traditional writing splits them: 麵包 for bread, 面 for face. That is why the traditional column here shows 麵包 rather than 面包, and it is worth noticing before you write anything by hand in Taiwan or Hong Kong.
The first character also gives you 面条 (miàn tiáo, noodles) and 方便面 (instant noodles). Same flour sense, quite different food, and both are far more central to daily eating in China than bread is.
