网吧(wǎng ba) - internet café in Mandarin

网吧 (wǎngbā) is "internet café", a room of computers rented out by the hour for going online, gaming, or messaging. 网 (wǎng) is "net", as in the internet, and 吧 (bā) here is a borrowing of the sound "bar", the same syllable that gives you 酒吧 (jiǔbā), "bar, pub".

网吧 (wǎngbā) boomed in China in the late 1990s and 2000s as a cheap way to get online before home broadband and smartphones were universal, and it is still where a lot of PC gaming culture lives, with 网吧 (wǎngbā) offering far better machines than most people have at home.

Note the neutral tone on 吧 (ba): it is unstressed, said lightly and quickly after the falling third tone of 网 (wǎng), which dips down before the syllable trails off rather than rising again.
