Esperanto Affix Sandbox
Esperanto's affixes are fully productive: stack a prefix, a root and a few suffixes and the result is always a legal word, whether or not it has ever made it into a dictionary. Build one below and find out which kind you have made.
Prefix (optional, up to 1)
Root (pick one)
Suffixes (up to 3)
Pick a root to begin - the prefix and suffixes can wait.
How the machine works
Every tile above is a real Esperanto morpheme, and the assembly rules are the same ones a fluent speaker uses without thinking: at most one prefix, exactly one root, and up to three suffixes stacked in order. The engine composes a literal English meaning from that stack and checks it against a short list of attested dictionary words - if your combination is not on the list, it is not wrong, it is simply a word nobody has needed yet. Read how Esperanto word-building actually works for the full rules behind the sandbox.
