The clear liquid that falls as rain and that people and animals drink to live.

smoke

The grey cloud that rises into the air when something burns.

gas

Something like air, which is not solid and not liquid. Gas is often burned to cook food or to heat a house.

metal

A hard, shiny material such as iron, gold or silver, which heat and electricity pass through easily.

bath

A long container that you fill with water to wash your whole body, and the wash itself. Americans usually call the container a bathtub.

leak

A small hole or crack that lets liquid or gas escape; when secret information gets out, that is also a leak.

tube

A long, round, hollow shape like a pipe, or a soft container that you squeeze, like a tube of toothpaste. In London, the Tube is the underground railway.
