The thing you are worthy of takes or : laŭdo. But the standalone adjective is the smaller half of the story. Its real work is as the suffix --, which bolts onto any verb and means "worth doing": gives a, worth reading, gives a, gives a. Once that clicks you stop needing whole English phrases. a is unworthy, o dignity, and indas used impersonally means "it is worth it" - indas .
