Word origin
From Latin Iulius, the month the Romans renamed in honour of Julius Caesar, who was born in it. Nearly every European language carries the same name, and Esperanto simply gives it the noun ending.

Month names are ordinary common nouns in Esperanto, written without a capital letter except at the start of a sentence: , . Mind the near-twin (June) - one letter apart, a whole month of difference.
