The person convinced is the object; what you convince them of takes , or a clause: , , . To become convinced yourself is i, which saves you the clumsy passive. Konvinka means convincing, konvinko a conviction in the sense of a firmly held belief - not the legal sense, which is kondamno. If what you want is persuading somebody to do something rather than to believe something, is the sharper verb.
