The suffix -- turns an adjective into the abstract quality behind it, so gives , and the same machine gives , o and o. Keep it apart from , the act of setting somebody free, and from 's concrete neighbour , which is a specific entitlement rather than a general condition. Esperanto has always been a language with political texts in it, and turns up in most of them. Note that the root is liber-, so nothing here has anything to do with , a book, despite the resemblance in English.
