English lets one word cover a fine character and an inherited title. Esperanto splits them. is entirely about character: generous, high-minded, above pettiness. The aristocrat is a and the adjective for that is nobela, a separate root with a separate entry.
So a may or may not be , and saying so in Esperanto is a single clean sentence rather than a pun. o is nobility of spirit, a is base or ignoble, and i is to ennoble in the moral sense.
