Watch the single letter. is the commercial one, putting goods or terms in front of a buyer; is to sacrifice or offer up, the church and altar sense. They look like one word with a typo and are two separate roots, ofert- and ofer-. Where the offer is an idea rather than a deal, English still says offer but Esperanto wants .
