This morning, Marie leaves her house very early. The sun is already up and the weather is fine. Marie loves the morning. She walks towards the square, in the heart of the town. There, every day, there are lots of people.

In the square, there are tables everywhere. Lots of people are already there. They talk loudly and walk between the tables. It is full of life. Marie loves this moment of the morning.

On the tables, there are lovely things to eat and drink. Marie looks at everything. She smells good things and she is hungry. She has a little money. She wants to buy something nice for this evening.

She looks at the prices. A few things are too dear for her. A young man calls out very loudly. "Come, look! This is for you!" He wants to hand over his things very fast. But Marie keeps walking. She does not like it when people talk too loudly.

At the end of the street, an old lady is beside a little table. She does not talk loudly. She is calm. She looks at Marie and speaks to her, very gently. On the table, the things are lovely and good.

"How much?" asks Marie. "It is not dear," says the old lady. She gives Marie a very good price. Marie is happy. She has enough money. She pays the lady and says thank you to her.

The old lady puts the good things into Marie's bag. The bag is quickly full. "Come back tomorrow morning," says the lady. "I have lovely things every day. Come early, it is better."
