est un nom feminin invariable (il ne prend pas de s au pluriel). Faire la paix (to make peace) et traite de paix (peace treaty) sont des expressions essentielles. Laisser en paix (to leave alone, to leave in peace) s'emploie souvent de facon imperative : laisse-moi en paix !
En paix comme adverbe signifie peacefully : mourir en paix (to die in peace). La paix des braves est une expression designant une reconciliation honorable entre adversaires. Avoir la paix (to have some peace and quiet) est tres courant dans la langue parlee.
