conspectus

Conspectus, conspectus is fourth declension masculine, from conspicio, "catch sight of". Fourth declension, so the genitive singular and nominative plural are both conspectus and only context separates them; the dative and ablative plural conspectibus is rare enough that you may never meet it.

In practice this noun lives inside prepositional phrases. In conspectu with the genitive is "in the sight of, in the presence of", and it is the standard biblical formula, in conspectu Domini. Motion in or into gets the accusative, in conspectum venire, "to come into view"; motion away gets e or ex with the ablative. Note it means the act or field of seeing, not the thing seen, so "a fine view" of scenery is not this word. The English conspectus, a summary overview, is a nineteenth-century academic borrowing and not a Roman sense at all.
