Vas, vasis, n., is a heteroclite: third declension in the singular, second declension neuter in the plural. So vas, vasis, vasi, vase, then vasa, vasorum, vasis, vasa. Learners who force a single pattern on it get vasum, which is not the word.
It covers any container from a cooking pot to a coffin, and the plural also means an army's kit and baggage, which is why vasa colligere is "strike camp". Watch the homograph: vas, vadis, m., is a completely different word, the surety who stands bail for a defendant.
