Vivo, vivere, vixi, victum, third conjugation. Intransitive, so it takes no object; what looks like one is usually an internal accusative, vitam vivere, "to live a life", or an accusative of duration, multos annos vixit.
The perfect stem is the trap. Vixi is regular enough once you accept that the v drops, but the supine victum and the participle victus are shared letter for letter with vinco, vincere, vici, victum, "to conquer". Victus therefore means either "having lived" or "conquered", and as a fourth-declension noun victus, victus it means "livelihood, food". Only the sentence tells you which. The rest of the family is friendlier: vita, vivus, vivax, convivium, "a living together" and so a dinner party. English vivid, revive, survive, victuals and vivacious.
