财产 (cái chǎn) is property in the legal and financial sense: everything a person or an organisation owns, taken together. It turns up in wills, in divorce settlements, in insurance and in law.
It is an abstract mass noun, so you do not count it. 很多财产 is fine, 三个财产 is not. When you need a specific building, the word is 房子 or 房产, not 财产.
The English-speaker trap is the other meaning of property. If you mean the flat you live in, say 房子. If you mean a characteristic of a material, that is 性质. 财产 only ever means assets you own.
