转移 (zhuǎn yí) is to move something deliberately from one place, owner or state to another. Hospitals 转移 patients, companies 转移 factories and funds, and a clever speaker 转移 the attention of a room.
It is a two-syllable verb of the written register, so it takes an object and usually a destination: 转移到 somewhere. With 把 in front of the thing being moved it reads perfectly naturally, and that is the pattern most sentences use.
The trap for English speakers is treating it as the ordinary word for move. It is not. Furniture goes with 搬 (bān), nudging an object a few centimetres is 移动 (yí dòng), and changing your mind is 改变 (gǎi biàn). Saying 转移椅子 for pulling a chair closer sounds like a troop deployment.
