Superlatives
The most and the least: el mas ... de, the irregulars mejor / peor / mayor / menor, and the absolute -isimo.
The short version
The best in the world is del mundo
English says 'the best in the city' and Spanish will not take en there. After a superlative, 'in' is de, every single time: el mejor del mundo, el peor de la ciudad. It catches almost everyone, because the instinct is to translate 'in' directly. And for quality, bueno and malo refuse the regular frame altogether: el mejor, el peor.
