bueno or bien?
One describes a thing. The other describes how something goes.
The rule
bueno is an adjective and describes a NOUN, so it changes to match it: bueno, buena, buenos. bien is an adverb and describes a VERB, so it never changes. If you can put it after es, you probably want bueno; after any other verb, bien.
