Spanish · Chapter 9 · Lesson 16 · Phrase session
At the table
Enough to get fed, get watered and get the bill without pointing.
Why these go together
La cuenta, por favor is the one people want on day one and cannot have, because cuenta sits at rank nine hundred and something. Waiting until now means you can also say la cuenta on its own, or ask someone else for it, which a memorised phrase never lets you do.
La cuenta, por favor.
The bill, please.
Tengo hambre.
I am hungry.
Está muy rico.
It is delicious.
Literally: it is very rich
Para mí, agua.
Water for me.
Vamos a comer.
Let us eat.
¿Qué me recomienda?
What do you recommend?
