Prepositions
The small words that fix things in place and time - in, on, at, to, from and the rest, and how to choose the right one.
The short version
Arrive at, arrive in, but never arrive to
Use arrive at for a specific place or point, and arrive in for a town or country. Arrive to is wrong in every case. This is one of a set of dependent prepositions you simply memorise with the word: interested in, good at, depend on, listen to, afraid of, wait for and think about.
