Days, months and dates
, , and for on Monday: the date is an ordinal, and the month, and a day needs only its -n.
Dates
An ordinal, , and the month:
- the first of March.- Today is the third of May.
Written with digits, the ordinal ending hyphenates onto the numeral: 1-a , 23-a .
Weekdays are common nouns and take no capital letter. Months are traditionally capitalised, and PMEG's own examples still do it, but lower case is now very common and is what this page uses:
| Kind | Esperanto | English |
