ajn

Ajn is a small tail that clips onto a correlative and always follows it, never precedes it: kiu ajn, kie ajn, kiam ajn, io ajn. With the ki- words it gives the English -ever family, and with the i- words it means "any at all". It never inflects and never takes -j or -n itself, though the correlative in front of it does: kion ajn vi volas. You will meet ajna as an adjective in some modern writing, but it is an unofficial back-formation, so leave it alone until you want the argument.
