Learn the participle before the verb: is the standard opening of a letter or an email in Esperanto, so does the work of "Dear Madam" and oj opens a circular to the club. Keep the three near neighbours apart. is to like something, is to treat with due regard, and is to hold in genuine high opinion. Estimo is the noun, and i is to despise, which is a good deal blunter than it looks.
