Translation
harbour, port
Word origin
A Germanic borrowing, from German Hafen and Dutch haven, the same root that gives English haven. Copenhagen is Kobenhavn, the merchants' harbour, and carries the word in its name.

Examples
.
The ship arrived in the harbour before nightfall.
.
Many boats are standing in the harbour.
.
The town grew up around its harbour.
The first three letters are a false seam: has nothing to do with , and there is no suffix -- to find. It is one borrowed root. Note the accusative in the first example: says the ship moved into the harbour, while would say it was already sitting there.
