Translation

town; city

Examples

.

I live in a small town.

.

We went into the town.

.

The whole town knows his name.

.

She works in the town and lives next to it.

.

We will return to the town.

The first two examples are the accusative rule in a single pair: is where you are, is where you are going, and the only difference is the -n. Learners drop it constantly and end up saying they went about inside the town. From the root: urba urban, o a townsperson with -an-, a capital, a suburb.
