mirinda

This is not an opaque word to be memorised; it is miri (to marvel) plus -ind-, the suffix meaning worthy of. So mirinda is literally worth marvelling at, and once you see the pattern you get a whole shelf free: kredinda believable, leginda worth reading, aminda lovable, bedaŭrinda regrettable. That last one is common enough that learners meet it before they meet the suffix. Note the adverb mirinde, which is doing the same job as English wonderfully - and, dropped in on its own, works as a dry one-word reaction.
