movado

Movi plus -ad- gives sustained, repeated action, so movado is motion that keeps going rather than a single shift, which would be movo. That is why the noun landed on political and social movements: an organised cause is exactly ongoing action with a celo. In Esperanto texts la movado with no qualifier almost always means the Esperanto movement itself, and you will meet it constantly in gazeto prose and congress reports. The -ad- suffix is worth stealing for other roots: labori gives laborado, vivi gives vivado, same logic every time.
