is the living thing; the verb planti is what you do to put it in the ground, and the two keep the same tidy noun-verb relationship as English. A o is a plantation or nursery, from the place suffix -. The green kingdom then sorts itself with words you already have: for a tree, for grass and herbs, for the flower. Note that a factory "plant" is not ; that industrial sense stayed in English, and Esperanto says or o.
