Stressed pronouns: moi, toi, lui, eux
The disjunctive pronouns after prepositions (avec moi), for emphasis (moi, je pense), after c'est, in comparisons, and with -meme.
The short version
The pronouns that stand on their own
Moi, toi, lui and eux appear wherever a pronoun has to survive without a verb to lean on: after a preposition (avec moi, chez lui), after c'est, in comparisons after que, and as a one-word answer. Avec je and c'est me are exactly the errors this third set exists to prevent.
C'est lui qui a gagné.
That's the gist. The full article goes deeper - more examples, the edge cases, the why - and the practice below scores like a vocabulary session and earns the same XP.
